Bio-Pro Research is an environmentally responsible manufacturer, from our products and packaging to our manufacturing processes and physical plant. Most consumers are coming to expect manufacturers to make commitments to reduce greenhouse emissions, conserve energy, reduce waste and recycle. At Bio-Pro Research, we strive to protect the environment and offer our customers bio-friendly products which actually perform better than noxious chemicals.

Our products are designed to be as "green" and earth-friendly as possible. We use non-toxic biodegradable natural ingredients to make our Urine Off and ecokleen lines safe for people, pets and the environment. As an added benefit of this approach, our stain removal products use friendly bacteria and enzymes rather than chlorine, peroxide or other bleaching agents, which helps to extend the life of the materials and surfaces being treated. Obviously, it is far better for the environment to clean and save a stained carpet rather than replace it!

Packaging for our products is designed to be recyclable, and we use as much post-consumer recycled content as we can in our packages

The manufacturing facility also maintains a green footprint. We recycle wash water, utilize skylighting to reduce the need for artificial lighting (and our lights are largely controlled by automatic sensors to reduce unnecessary energy expenditures) while the large thermal mass of the manufacturing plant helps to reduce the need for heating and cooling.

Bio-Pro Research's World Headquarters campus also has a 160,000 square foot manufacturing plant and research laboratory in Hickory, North Carolina.

In late 2003, with more than two and a half years of research and development in tow, Bio-Pro Research launched Urine Off into the retail marketplace.

Since its introduction in late 2003, Bio-Pro Research and Urine Off have been an astounding success, with national and international distribution. Through widespread retail placement, a number of industrial users found the product and discovered what the noise was all about.

Major commercial users, including the Westminster London Public Works department, demanded an industrial product – vis-à-vis packaging, innovation, strength, and bottom-line results. In the fall of 2005, a full line of Bio-Pro Research products, designed for professional users in concentrated and RTU formulations, was launched on the marketplace. Beyond the innovative technology behind Urine Off, the Bio-Pro line introduces new solutions to similarly intractable problems such as urine that have never been dealt with effectively by other products. From revolutionary urine removers, to sewage decontaminants, urine laundry pre-treatments, to industrial foggers and accompanying, high-octane odor counteractant solutions, Bio-Pro products are fast becoming integral tools for professional cleaning and remediation specialists.
